UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANTS

Sophie Bradshaw: "Hi, I'm currently a junior student majoring in Psychology, and I'm excited to be diving into the world of research alongside Dr. Rowatt's team. Although I'm inexperienced, I look forward to contributing my skills and enthusiasm. A little bit about me, I'm originally from South Korea and have been living in the States for the first time in my life since my freshman year! Baylor University has helped me adjust to the differences in culture and I look forward to all it has to offer me."
Katie Campbell: "My name is Katie Campbell and I am a junior at Baylor. I am studying Psychology and my career goals are to be a therapist and have my own practice. I am interested in researching personalities and understanding people’s emotions. I am studying psychology because I want to be able to better understand why people think/feel the way they do so I can help them. My biggest goal in my life is to make a difference in other people’s lives. I love learning new things and I am so excited to be doing research! "
Ainsley Everett: "I am a senior with a Psychology major and Media Management Minor. I am from Houston, TX and I attended the University of Richmond my freshman year of college. After graduation I plan to work in the media industry."
Eliana Galan: "My name is Eliana Galan! I am a Junior from Austin, TX. I am majoring in Psychology, minoring in CFS and Forensic Science. In my free time, I love to read, travel, watch tv, and make art."
Paige LaMalva: Paige is a senior psychology major planning to apply to graduate programs in optometry.

Sam McCleery: "Senior Psychology student in pursuit of going to grad school to receive an MBA. Currently interning with the Waco Police Department and has also interned for the Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network. Academic interests include Social Psychology, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. Has worked in Dr. Rowatt’s VR lab since January 2023, and worked as a Coder for Dr. Perry’s business related research project. Hobbies include Running, Weightlifting, playing electric guitar, and anything music related."
Presley Stern: "My name is Presley Stern and I am from Nashville, Tennessee. I am currently a junior pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Corporate Communications. I am planning to graduate early in December of 2024. My future goals include pursuing a graduate degree and a corporate Human Resources career. I am thrilled at the opportunity to join Dr. Rowatt's lab and gain hands-on research experience, especially given my passion for interdisciplinary learning nurtured during my time in the BIC. Working in a lab that combines art, psychology and spirituality is incredibly exciting for me. Outside of the lab, you can often find me at the lake, enjoying a Cyclebar session, studying with friends, or exploring new hiking trails in the area."
Kara Tan: "My name is Kara Tan, and I'm a psychology major in my senior year at Baylor. I'm originally from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, but now live in Rockwall, Texas. I chose psychology as a major because I am passionate about helping people through life's challenges. In my free time, I enjoy reading and painting by numbers. I also love riding automatic scooters through Cameron Park with friends. I joined Dr. Rowatt's research lab in the Spring of 2023 because I wanted to experience being a part of a research study at Baylor. Since then, I've enjoyed the experience of running participants through the study and have found a love for research. After graduation, I hope to get my master's in marriage and family therapy and eventually get a Ph.D. in clinical psychology."
